Dr. Susie Breitenstein

Susie Breitenstein has been part of the CPP team since 2009. Her career began as a child and adolescent psychiatric nurse, where she gained valuable experience in both inpatient and outpatient clinical settings. This hands-on work ignited her deep passion for family-focused prevention interventions to support families and young children through strength-based approaches. Breitenstein’s research focuses on innovative delivery models and implementation science. Her ultimate goal is to enhance access and sustainability of evidence-based programs to promote positive parent-child relationships and promote optimal child development. She led the development and testing of the CPP fidelity monitoring system and continues to lead the development of ezParent, the web-based platform for delivering CPP. Dr. Breitenstein is Professor and the Associate Dean for Research at The Ohio State University College of Nursing.
