As CPP Continues to Grow, So Does the Team

As the United States recovers from the pandemic, there is an increased awareness of the mental and behavioral health crisis among children and adolescents. With demand for programs that address these issues ramping up across the nation, the Chicago Parent Program is poised for growth.

To address this mounting demand, the CPP team is growing too. At the heart of CPP’s advancement efforts is Monique Daniels, the Chicago Parent Program’s Director of Community Partnerships, a position created in 2022 through a generous grant from the Richman Family Foundation. Monique brings to the position an educational background in health care administration, counseling, and health care leadership, along with two decades of experience as an innovative and collaborative leader and educator.

Growing a program is no easy task. Monique’s position comes with a laundry list of goals and priorities. Monique notes that building and nurturing a program requires an entrepreneurial mindset and determination. Fortunately, she possesses both. Fundamental to expanding CPP’s reach is Monique’s conviction that the program can make a difference. “I’ve seen first-hand how CPP changes lives and I am very optimistic about its future,” says Monique. “I’m encouraged by the possibilities of expanding CPP’s model that centers on supporting parents to best address the needs of their children.”  Armed with this bullish outlook, Monique is bolstering the growth objective with a slew of strategies to expand CPP’s outreach well beyond its confines. She is currently occupied with creating policy and procedures that will provide a roadmap for day-to-day operations. “There are many behind-the-scenes tasks that are needed initially to provide a strong foundation to build upon,” explains Monique. “Policy and procedures may not be the sexiest task but they are necessary building blocks for decision-making and streamlining processes as the program grows.”

“We’re thrilled to bring such a gifted professional as Monique to help lead CPP’s expansion,” says CPP Developer Dr. Debbie Gross. Debbie and Monique have worked together for the past decade to plan CPP Group Leader Trainings. When the opportunity arrived to grow the CPP team, Debbie didn’t hesitate to ask Monique. “I know she will bring vision, creativity and a spirit of ambition that will enable us to continue reaching new heights!”

“I am excited to be a part of such a dynamic program,” concludes Monique. “My vision for the program is to continue growing it and empower families with additional resources to achieve their individual and collective goals."
